Learning to scuba dive is easy, great fun and with the correct training, is amongst the safest of all recreational activities. At Ocean Divers, we teach you through the PADI system, which is the largest recreational scuba teaching organisation in the world. PADI is recognised in over 80 countries and teaches in excess of 75% of the world’s scuba divers using the safe and correct techniques of diving.
Upon completion of your course, you will be certified to dive just about anywhere.
Our instructors are qualified to take you through a variety of courses, so that you are able to advance to whatever level of diving you desire. Our course for new divers is known as the ‘Open Water Diver ‘ course. Should you have any questions about the ‘Open Water Diver ‘ course, other courses or diving in general, please don’t hesitate to call one of our professional staff members on 9579 2600 or email us at info@oceandivers.com.au.
Prerequisites:
Minimum age 12 years.
PADI dive medical statement completed. If any questions are answered with a “Yes” you will be required to have a full dive medical.
Although a diving medical will not be required, it is nevertheless strongly recommended. Further, a diving medical may uncover conditions or issues you may not be aware of, for example ear, nose and throat , or lung function issues, and which could expose you to the risk of serious injury or death while diving. Australian Standard AS 4005.1 and SPUMS (South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society) both highly recommend a diving medical be completed.
You can find a list of diving doctors here: Diving doctors
For your own comfort and hygiene, we require you to have your own personal items – that is your mask, snorkel & booties. It is important that a good quality dive mask fits your face correctly to avoid leaking and spoiling your fun! These can be fitted and purchased through Ocean Divers at a discounted rate.
Cost:
$595.00, which includes materials, all tuition, 5 pool dives, 4 ocean dives and use of all scuba diving gear.
Prefer online learning? The cost is still $595.00 ($120.00 registration to PADI and balance of $475.00 to Ocean Divers).
Personal training scheduled to suit you $925.
